This policy explains what personal data FretScore collects and how we use it.

Who we are

The data controller is Nahian Rahman, trading as FretScore, of 736-740 Romford Road, London E12 6BT, United Kingdom. Contact: team@fretscore.com.

What we collect

Waiting list. If you join the waiting list we store your email address and the time you signed up. We use it only to tell you when FretScore is ready and about the launch. Our legal basis is your consent.

Customers. When you subscribe, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment as Merchant of Record. We receive your name, email address, country and subscription status, but never your full card details. We use this to provide the app, manage your licence and give support. Our legal basis is our contract with you.

The app. FretScore processes the audio and video of your call only on your own computer, while the call is happening, to write tab and chord names. None of it is sent to us or anyone else, and nothing is recorded or stored.

Licence checks. To activate and check your subscription, the app sends your licence key and a basic device identifier to Lemon Squeezy. It does not send anything from your calls.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers: Vercel (website hosting), Upstash (waiting list storage), and Lemon Squeezy (payments). They only process your data to provide their service to us. Some of them may process data outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Waiting list emails are kept until launch or until you ask us to remove them. Customer records are kept while you are a customer and for as long as we need them for tax and accounting afterwards.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time by emailing team@fretscore.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
